Pracheen Kala Kendra has been continuously spreading the teachings and mission of music for decades. Those living near this center are fortunate enough to be part of it, but people from far and wide also come to participate. This time, Prachin Kala Kendra will host another special event on Saturday, October 11, 2025, starting at 6:30 pm, with special artists arriving to spread the magic of music.

This time, the event will be held at the ML Kosar Auditorium, Prachin Kala Kendra Campus, Sector 35/B, Chandigarh. The event will begin at 6:30 pm and conclude.

This year's performers will be Swati Tiwari Srivastava, accompanied by Dr. Devendra Verma on harmonium and Mr. Ujit Dey Kumar on tabla. This year's event will be a memorable one.

It's worth noting that Swati Tiwari is a classical singer known for her singing and music. She is a graded artist from All India Radio, Delhi, and is available for concerts and classes. Her performance on stage creates a magical atmosphere.

  Memorable conclusion of two-day seminar organized by Ancient Art Center

The two-day seminar organized by Ancient Art Center, which is being held at Punjab Kala Bhawan, concluded here today with great pomp. Today also two sessions of the seminar were presented. In both the sessions, participants from different cities of the country presented their research work.

The main theme of this seminar was based on the role of music, dance and fine arts in social upliftment. On this occasion, Prof. Premila Gurumurthy, former Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. Jayalalitha Music and Fine Arts University, Chennai shared his invaluable experience with the participants by giving lecture demonstration.

On this occasion, Prof. Lavanya Kirti Singh Kabya, Head of Music Department, Lalit Narayan Darbhanga University, Prof. Pankajmala Sharma, along with the Registrar of the Center, Dr. Shobha Kausar, praised the center with their invaluable blessings and congratulated it for the success of the seminar. Along with this, the guest speakers of the seminar, renowned tabla player Pandit Sushil Jain (Chairperson) and Dr. Arun Mishra (Chairperson) expressed their views as chairperson and as guest speakers, renowned tabla player Dr. Jagmohan Sharma and Dr. Mahendra Prasad Sharma, Mr. Manglesh Sharma, Dr. Rahul Swarnkar and Dr. Gaurav Shukla also shared their vast knowledge with the audience.

On this memorable occasion, Dr. Rajesh Kelkar, Head of Music Department, Sharma MSU University, Baroda was also present on this occasion. The Center's Secretary, Mr. Sajal Kausar and the seminar's coordinator, Pandit Devendra Verma, honored all the above-mentioned honorable personalities by giving them uttiya and memento.

After this, the participants presented research papers on various topics related to music and art through offline and online medium. In this seminar, research papers were presented on various topics related to music and art. In which research papers were presented on many topics like Raga and Taal in Indian Music, Time Theory of Ragas, Music in Vedas and Puranas, Laya Layakari and Taal, Tribal Folk and Spiritual Music and Various Dance Types, Various Dimensions of Music and Art Education. These research papers contained invaluable information prepared with a lot of hard work.

Overall, the second day of the seminar was dedicated to classical arts and various aspects of Indian traditions and arts. Apart from this, the melodious sitar playing of Vinita Gupta and Bhairavi Bhatt captivated everyone and at the same time Mahendra Prasad Sharma's tabla playing was also appreciated by everyone. All the listeners and spectators present in the hall were mesmerized.

The main objective of this seminar was to have an in-depth discussion about the importance of upliftment of society through arts. In this discussion, the nuances of music were discussed with great simplicity. Along with this, the importance of promotion of arts and their role in society was also discussed.

Overall, the seminar was successful in its objective and the organizer Prachin Kala Kendra deserves praise and congratulations for organizing such a program. Secretary of Prachin Kala Kendra, Mr. Sajal Kausar expressed his gratitude to everyone in beautiful words at the end of the program.

Musical evening Sangeet Uday was organized today at Mini Tagore Theater

A special musical evening Sangeet Uday was organized today at Mini Tagore Theater Sector 18 here from 6:00 pm under the joint aegis of leading cultural institution Prachin Kala Kendra and Sanskar Bharti. In which young and talented artists from all over the country won the hearts of the audience with their powerful performances of classical singing and playing. In this program, Rajarshi Chatterjee (Sitar), Shivansh Soni (Tabla), Upasana Dey (Vocal), Anshika Kataria (Kathak), Sanjukta Sarkar (Kathak), Shreyas Dattatreya Bhoyar (Tabla), Kanhaiya Pandey (Synthesizer) and Pooja Basak (Vocal) mesmerized the audience with their performances.

In today's program, Vice President of All India Sanskar Bharti, Dr. Ravindra Bharti graced the program as the Chief Guest and Mr. Lavish Chawla, General Secretary, Sanskar Bharti Punjab Province graced the program as the special guest. On this occasion, the Registrar of the Center, Dr. Shobha Kausar and Secretary Mr. Sajal Kausar were also present. Along with this, Advisor of Sanskar Bharti, Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan was also present. After the traditional lamp lighting ceremony with the chief guest and other dignitaries, the centre's registrar Dr Shobha Kausar honoured the chief guest and the special guest by presenting them shawls and mementos.

In today's programme which became memorable, Upasana Dey (singing) presented compositions in medium and fast rhythm in Raga Multani and Pooja Basak (singing) presented compositions in Teen Taal in Raga Madhuvanti. After this, Sanjukta Sarkar presented Ganesh Vandana and Anshika Kataria presented a beautiful performance of Aamad, Tahat Paran, Tihai and Ladi etc. in Taal Shikhar. After this, Shivansh Soni and Shreyas Dattatreya Bhoyar presented Peshkar in Teen Taal and after this, presented traditional Uthaan, Rele, Qayde, Palte, Gats very beautifully and received applause from the audience. After this, Sitar player Rajarshi Chatterjee of Etawah Gharana presented some Gats, compositions etc. in Raga Yaman and received a lot of praise.

In the program, Mr. Pravesh Kumar, working in the music department of the center, accompanied them on harmonium and Amandeep Gupta on tabla.

At the end of the program, the center's secretary Mr. Sajal Kausar, Sanskar Recruitment Advisor Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan, and the chief guest and special guest honored the artists by giving them mementos and certificates.
